Format Saturday: Singles (duels) in Sword and Shield, Longsword, Sword and Buckler and Polearm. Outrance (Female and Male) runs separately by weight. Saturday also has an optional 5v5. Sunday: Team matches: 3v3 (Female) and 5v5. Whole clubs can enter as a team. Singles: Each fighter can sign up for a maximum of 2 solo categories. We aim to organise at least 4 matches per fighter in each category, so up to 8 matches over the day. The exact number depends on how many fighters sign up. The singles categories are open and not split by division. Rules - Team categories (5v5): Training poleaxes are used for safety. Please don’t bring your own steel poleaxes, unless competing in polearm. (We should have loaners) - Buhurt International (BI) rules apply. This is an exhibition event, not a BI-certified tournament, and there is no authenticity requirement. - Finnish house rule: no hits to the back of the head. - Gear check is on Friday evening and on Saturday and Sunday mornings. - Loaner longswords and polearms are available from the club.
